The Cincinnati Bengals suffered devastating news after their Week 11 Thursday Night Football loss.

It was reported that Joe Burrow would be out for the season after suffering a wrist injury.

This has not only dampened the spirits of the fanbase, but it has caused greater concern for Burrow and his future in the NFL.

Willie Colon discussed his feelings about Burrow in a recent segment of “The Carton Show.”

After describing all of Burrow’s recent afflictions, including his ACL injury and calf issues, Colon said: “There’s a big concern about a guy you paid a lot of money to.”

Colon seems to be concerned with the fact that the Bengals signed him to a massive contract extension, yet, he has shown a propensity to get injured.

Burrow is supposed to be the franchise star for the Bengals, but with his injury history, it remains to be seen how impactful he will be in the future.

Now that Burrow is out for the rest of the season, he leaves them in a less-than-ideal situation at quarterback.

Jake Browning is slated to take over for him, a quarterback with 15 career passing attempts.

For a team that was poised to win the AFC North again this season, starting Browning at quarterback does not seem like their best recipe for success.

Burrow will spend the rest of the season healing, hoping to get back on track for the 2024 campaign.

With any luck, he will start 2024 off on the right foot, bringing the Bengals back into contention for the AFC North.
